1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon divided (1 1/2 + 1/2)
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts
1 cup confectioners sugar

Directions:

Sift dry ingredients together and set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar, add egg and vanilla. Slowly add dry ingredients until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Chill in refrigerator overnight or until firm.

Combine confectioners sugar in a large Ziploc bag with remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Using a tablespoon or small ice cream scoop roll dough into balls and drop into bag and shake until covered. Put on a greased cookie sheet 2" apart. She didn't share the oven temp or cooking time, but I am guessing 350 for 25-30 minutes? (Check another cookie recipe...) She did say, do not overcook.

This is my friend, Jackie DelValle's recipe. These cookies are stinking good! (Sadly, they are not G.F.)
