1 large can fruit (you can substitute fresh; I usually use canned peaches in heavy syrup)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine in dish (can use a 9x13" pan or round corning ware dish..very versatile). Mix sugar, flour, milk, and baking powder until smooth; pour over margarine. Pour fruit mixture (which has been heated and thickened with flour or cornstarch and sweetened to taste - on stove top) on top of this mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes (varies) at 350º F.
