1 cup of butter
2 cups of brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
1/2 tsp of baking soda
3 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of nuts (chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs (well beaten), and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Add nuts.
Roll dough into rolls in wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
Roll cookie dough out and cut with a cookie cutter.
Bake until brown on ungreased cookie sheet for 50-60 minutes.
