1 pound ground beef
1 large onion chopped
2 bell peppers chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 bay leaf
3 Tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 29 oz. can tomato sauce
2 16 oz. cans kidney beans, drained
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the ground beef, onion and bell peppers. Saute for about 5 minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain excess fat or not. Add the garlic, bay leaf, chili powder, cumin, tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Stir in the beans and heat through. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste
