2 Heads of Cabbage
1 Onion
1 pkg. Bacon Pieces, small
1 pkg. Bacon Skin or Rind
1/2 C Bacon Grease
1 Tbsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Pepper
1 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up cabbage and rinse, set aside. Cut up onions into small wedges. In a large skillet on medium-high heat, saute` onions and bacon skin in bacon grease. Add cabbage, cover. Stir occasionally until cabbage cooks down. Add bacon bits, salt, pepper and liquid smoke. Cover and lower heat. Cook until cabbage is tender. Takes about 45 minutes depending on how tender you like your cabbage.
