Grandma Jean's Egg Buns Recipe

2 pkg yeast
2 tsp sugar
1 cup warm water
Dissolve sugar in water. Add yeast. Let stand ten minutes.
1 cup milk
1/4 cup marg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Add marg, sugar, salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast mixture.
Add half the flour to make a thick batter. Add eggs and beat well.
Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface until satiny. (4-5 minutes)
Let rise twice.
This makes 2 sweet bread loaves or 3 dozen buns.
Bake at 375 until lightly browned.

*The first time I ever made buns, I innocently rushed through the "kneading step". As a result the buns were like rocks. Just to make sure I don't forget, Danny still loves to tell the story of the great fun he and Roy had throwing them at the wall.
