2 C. sliced fresh peaches, sliced
1 T. lemon juice
1/4 C. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
2 tsp. butter
pinch salt
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 9" pie crust - baked

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle peaches with lemon juice and sugar. Let stand 1 hour. Drain. There should be 1 cup syrup. Add cornstarch to this syrup and blend. Cook this over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the butter, salt and extract. Cool. Place peaches in baked pie crust. Pour cooled mixture over. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
