1 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. corn starch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 egg yolks (keep egg whites)

2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tbsp. sugar

Mix sugar, corn starch, and cinnamon. Mix other ingredients and cook until thick. Beat egg yolks and add some of the hot liquid and mix before adding to the mixture. If you do not mix egg yolks with some of the hot mixture, they will cook and not mix in smooth.

Meringue: Beat eggs, vanilla, and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until peaks are stiff and glossy and all the sugar is dissolved. Put in oven for 350 for 12-15 minutes.
