Directions:
Saute 1 medium onion and approximately 3 clover garlic, chopped in ¼ cup olive oil.
Add about two 16 ounce cans crushed or chopped tomatoes and one small can tomato paste. Season to taste with: salt, pepper, pinch sugar, basil, thyme, oregano and *crushed red pepper. Simmer on the stove while cooking sausages.

Saute mild Italian sausage links until brown. If desired, sauté hot Italian sausage pieces and add all to sauce. Lately, meatballs have also been added. Continue to simmer for approximately one to two hours.
