1 stick oleo
1 pkg brown sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
2 1/2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 c pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter over low fire. Add brown sugar and blend well but don't cook. Cool then add eggs, vanilla and salt. Beat well. Add flour, baking powder and pecans (if desired). Stir well. Your dough will be very stiff. Put on a greased and floured cookie pan. Moisten hand under faucet and pat to 1/2" thickness. Bake in a very low oven , 300º. Cut while hot. They will rise then fall.
