1 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup shortening, 11/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 11/2 tsp baking soda, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 21/4 cups flour, 40 wooden Popsicle sticks, 40 miniature chocolate covered caramel topped nougat candy bar such as snickers (Halloween Size), small decorative candy (sprinkles for example), melted chocolate or frosting.

Beat peanut butter, butter, and shortening in a large mixing bowl on high speed for about 30 seconds. Add sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda and beat until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer. Stir any remaining flour with a spoon. Insert a wooden stick into each candy bar.. Form about 2 tbsp dough into a ball and shape around each bar, making sure the bar is completely covered. Place cookies 21/2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool and frost or drizzle with melted chocolate. Sprinkle with sprinkles if desired.
