Layer 1
2 cups chopped pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
3 T. sugar

Layer 2
2 - 3 oz pkgs. of cream cheese
1 - 8 oz. container of cool whip
1/2 c. sugar

Layer 3
1 - 6 oz. pkg of strawberry or raspberry Jell-O
1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 cups pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries or raspberries (opt.)

Layer 1:
Mix the finely chopped pretzels, butter and sugar until well blended. Press mixture into a glass 9x13 pan. Bake for 10 min. @ 400º. Cool to room temperature.

Layer 2:
Cream together cream cheese, cool whip and sugar. Spread carefully over cooled pretzels.

Layer 3:
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Add pineapple juice. Add fruit. Cool until Jell-O begins to thicken. Pour over cream cheese. Chill to set.

You can make this without the pineapple juice, just make the Jell-O according to package instructions.
