Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 oz. fresh white or green asparagus, sliced into 1 inch lengths
4 skin-on bone-in chicken breast - patted dry
1 c. low sodium chicken broth
1 large onion finely chopped
4 garlic cloves minced
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. grated lemon zest
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. capers - strained

white rice to serve

Directions:
Directions:
Bring large pot of salted water to boil. Add asparagus and cook until tender. Reserve 3/4 cup of cooking liquid and strain asparagus. Rinse under cold water and transfer to paper towel lined plate. Set aside.

Place chicken breasts in large pot with chicken broth, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon zest, oregano, salt and pepper. Cover and bring to boil, then reduce to medium low and simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes. Transfer the chicken to plate, then strain the broth through fine mesh sieve and set it aside until cooled. Remove chicken from the bones, discarding skin, and pulling the meat off in big chunks.

Place flour in large bowl. Add a little of the chicken's cooking broth to the flour, whisking until it forms a smooth paste. Whisk in the remaining broth, then pour the mixture into a medium saucepan. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly so it does not stick or burn, until it has thickened slightly, about 15 minutes.

Whisk in the reserved asparagus cooking liquid, the cream and the capers. Add the chicken back to the sauce and stir to coat in the sauce. Add asparagus and gently tuck it into the sauce. Cook for a couple of minutes until heated through and serve with rice. Enjoy!
