10 oz. fettuccine, cooked and drained
3 cups milk
3 Tablespoons flour
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced
4 ounces canned mushrooms, drained
6 ounces Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute mushrooms, onion and garlic in 1 Tablespoon butter, set aside. Make a white sauce by melting remaining butter over medium heat and whisking in flour until smooth, add milk and continue to whisk and stir until blended and smooth. Stir in cheese and stir constantly until thick. Return onion and mushroom mixture to sauce. Serve over fettuccine. For variety, add 10 ounces cooked broccoli florets or left over cooked chicken, heat until heated through.
