1/4 c. butter, softened
2 1/4 c. sifted self-rising flour
2 eggs
1/4 c. margarine, softened
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Into softened butter and margarine, sift all dry ingredients. Add about 3/4 c. milk, mixing until all flour is dampened. Beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs, remaining milk and beat 2 minutes longer. Turn batter into greased pans. Bake at 375 F for 25 minutes for layers and 35 minutes for oblong cake.

Moist Yellow Icing:
2 c. canned milk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. sugar
1/2 . butter or margarine
1 1/3 c. coconut

Cook milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla until thick. Add coconut and pecans. Spread over cake. This is good icing.
