1-1/3 C Shortening
1-1/2 C Granulated Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
8 tsp. Milk
4 C sifted All-Purpose Flour
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar & vanilla.
Add Eggs & beat until light & fluffy.
Stir in Milk.

Sift together Flour, Baking Powder & Salt.
Blend into creamed mixture.
Divide dough into thirds. Place in greased bowl.
Chill at least 1 hour.

On lightly floured surface, roll one chunk of dough to 1/8-inch thickness. (Keep remaining dough chilled for easier rolling.)

Cut in desired shapes with cookie cutters.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 350-375º (about 6 minutes)

Cool cookies & ice (add food coloring to vanilla frosting) to frost - you can freeze cookies plain and ice them later.
