Ingredients:
Fry about 6 pieces of bacon
2 Tlb. oil or bacon drippings
1 cup long-grain rice (not instant)
1 1/2 cups hot water.
1 small can tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes.
1 Tlb. minced onion, garlic salt, onion salt, salt and pepper.

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon. Use oil or bacon drippings to fry the long-grain rice. Fry until rice turns white and smells like popcorn. Add water. Add tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes. Add dry ingredients. Stir only until mixture begins to boil. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked. Do not stir. When most of the moisture is gone, place bacon strips over top of rice. For a little more flavor, salsa may be added when tomato sauce is stirred in.
