1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 mashed ripe bananas
2 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp warm water
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the shortening, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add the mashed bananas and stir together. Then add the flour, soda and salt. Stir until blended then stir in the teaspoon of warm water and the nuts.

Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350º

You can replace the 1/2 cup of nuts with 1 cup of chocolate chips.
