3 cups seedless raisins
3 cups sultana raisins
1/2 cup chopped glazed cherries
1/2 cup chopped, candied pineapple
1/2 cup chopped citron peel
1/4 cup lemon peel
1/4 cup orange peel
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. all spice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. mace
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
6 eggs
1/2 cup molasses

Line 2 loaf pans (9" x 5" x 3") with heavy waxed paper. Prepare fruits & nuts, dust with 1/4 cup of the flour. Sift remaining flour, salt & spices together. Cream the shortening & sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. Add molasses & mix well. Blend in flour mixture, then fold in fruit mixture. Fill pans 2/3 full & bake at 300ºF for 2 hours or until done. Keep a shallow dish pan of water on bottom rack for first hour, then remove. Cool before removing paper, then re-wrap in plastic wrap & aluminum foil. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
