1 Angel Food Cake.
Custard
Fruit ! can fruit cocktail
Dream Whip
Sherry

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare custard as per pkg instructions. Cut up Angel Food Cake into 1 inch cubes and place in clear trifle (dessert) bowl. Sprinkle sherry over the cake. Add a can of strained fruit of your choice (traditionally fruit cocktail was used). Pour custard over the fruit. Top trifle with prepared Dream Whip. (Cool Whip would be OK but it was not available back then) Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.

This would be dessert at Nan and Pop Osbourne's for supper on Christmas Day. We always stayed for supper on Christmas Day and we loved the trifle (or maybe it was the Sherry) I think that's how Ed and I acquired a taste for Sherry.
