1 1/2 -2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 can sauerkraut
2 cups uncooked fine noodles
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1/2 cup grated Cheddar Cheese

Preheat oven to 350º.

In skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Rinse sauerkraut in water and drain. Layer in casserole dish: half of hamburger mixture, sauerkraut and uncooked egg noodles. Pour soups over noodles. Top with remaining hamburger mixture.

Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle Cheddar cheese over hotdish. Bake an additional 25 minutes.

This does not have a strong sauerkraut flavor. It's just a good hearty hotdish.
