Crust:
3/4 cup oleo, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cups flour
nuts (if you like)

Mix and press into a 9x13 pan. Bake 350º- 12 min. Cool.

Dissolve 2 envelopes of Knox gelatin (unflavored) in 1/2 C. cold water (could use juice.) Set aside.

Mix:
2 C. sugar
1/4 C. water
1/4 C. cherry juice (add food coloring)

Boil 3 min. -rolling boil. Add softened gelatin. Beat 10 min at high speed.

Add:
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. maraschino cherry pieces
1/4 C. nuts

Pour over baked crust. Over top sprinkle with nuts and coconut. Chill 2 hrs. or overnight.
