1 and 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tablespoon salt (grams doesn't add this)
1 and 1/4 C of milk
3 and 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1 Egg, beaten
3 tablespoon liquid oil or melted shortening

Mix dry ingredients. Add milk slowly, then egg, and shortening. The batter may have small lumps, but they seem to cook out. Go figure.
