5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs keeping the yolks in a separate bowl. Beat yolks and sugar until creamy. Beat egg whites in a separate bowl with electric beater until stiff peaks form. Fold in the egg whites in the yolk mixture. Add the flour, baking powder and salt mixed together. Pour the batter into a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with sides. Make sure it is spread evenly (it will not be very deep). Bake in 350º oven until done. Turnout cake on to a clean dish towel to cool. Cover with favorite jelly. Roll from the short end until you have a nice log. End can be sealed with more jelly. Keep wrapped in a clean dish towel to store. Slice and serve.
