1 cup of butter or margarine
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of white shortening
2 teaspoons of vanilla

10 tablespoons of flour (little more than level)
2 cups of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Blend flour and milk together in a saucepan, Cook over low heat until thick and boiling. Cool to room temperature.

Cream all other ingredients together in bowl. After flour mixture is cool, add a tablespoon at a time to the creamed ingredients. Blend together. When both mixes are combined, beat at a high speed until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes.

Excellent when used on Maraschino Cherry Cake. This is Aunt Kathy's favorite.
