Ingredients:  
1 lb of ground beef (or beef and pork mixture)
2 cups of chopped onions
1/2 cup of chopped celery
5 large cloves of garlic minced
2 teaspoons of oregano
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1 15 oz cans of tomato sauce
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef, onion, celery and garlic. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Simmer partially covered for at least one hour. Dilute with beef broth or water if too thick.

Optional:
1 lb of Italian sausage browned and added to sauce in the last half hour of cooking.
