8 fresh tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 large can whole tomatoes
1 chopped onion
3 cloves fresh garlic
1/4 cup fresh basil
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (quality is best)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Chop garlic or put through press. Heat a large pot. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil then saute garlic and onion lightly. Add tomato paste and cook on low heat. Do not burn, but should be browned a little. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.

Blanche, peel and remove seeds on fresh tomatoes. Chop, cool and set aside.

Add can of tomato paste in pot. Flavor sauce with basil, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Let simmer for about 1 hour. At the last 15 minutes add chopped fresh tomatoes Serve over pasta.
