4 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cup tomato juice or tomato sauce
1 1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar

Brown meat then drain off excess fat. Add onion and garlic. Add remaining ingredients then simmer 15 to 30 min. This sauce is the base for the following recipes:

Sloppy Joe's:
Add tomato paste to thicken if necessary. Tomato powder is the best, it can be used for everything. Dehydrated or freeze dried red and green peppers

Spaghetti Sauce:
I add tomato powder and water to make more sauce.

Soup Starter:
Thin out with more beef broth and add mixed vegetables, diced tomatoes and potatoes.
