1 c shortening
2 c sugar
3 eggs
2 c blackberries with juice
1/2 c buttermilk
3 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cloves
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in blackberries with juice. Mix dry ingredients together. Add to batter. Stir in buttermilk and mix well. Bake in two 9" pans at 350º until done at touch. Top with vanilla icing.
