1 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 large eggs
1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
3 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp vanilla, butter and nut flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and shortening at medium speed about 2 minutes until creamy
Add enough water to evaporated mild to make 1 cup
Combine flour and salt to butter mixture alternating with milk mixture beginning and ending with flour
Stir in flavoring
Bake at 325º for 1 hr and 25 min
