Rum Balls Recipe

12 oz Vanilla wafers, crushed
3 heaping T Cocoa
1/2 C Walnuts, ground
1 1/8 C Sugar
3/8 C Water
powdered sugar for rolling
butter for greasing hands (!)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Boil sugar and water until it spins a thread when spoon is lifted from mixture.
Pour sugar mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.

Grease hands with butter and roll into 1" balls QUICKLY, being careful not to burn your hands! If you are too slow, the mixture will harden and crumble and you won't be able to make balls.

Roll in powdered sugar.
Store in cool place.
