6 apples (Granny smith works well or any tart apple)
1 c. sugar
Cinnamon
unbaked pie shell and top crust

Directions:
Directions:
Slice and peel apples into pie crust, pour sugar over top. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Place top crust on and slit vents into crust with knife.
Bake 350º for 1 hour.

You can also make a crumb topping by mixing 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. flour and 1/2 c. softened butter. Sprinkle over pie instead of top crust.
