6 sweet peppers (green or red)
1 quart diced onions
1 quart diced celery (leaves and stalk include)
1 quart water or tomato juice
4 quarts ripe tomatoes, peeled and quartered
3 Tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Remove seeds from peppers and cut in pieces.
2. Combine peppers, onions, celery, and water (tomato juice) in large saucepan and cook 20 minutes.
3. Add tomatoes, salt, sugar, and pepper and bring to a boil.
4. Put in hot jars. Process in boiling water 40 minutes for quarts, 30 minutes for pints. Makes 10 to 12 pints.
