Cucumbers
1 sliced onion
1 clove garlic
1 head dill
Brine -
1 pint water
1/2 cup pickling salt
1 quart vinegar
1 cup sugar
pinch alum
Directions:
Directions:
Slice cucumbers thin, mix with onion, garlic and dill. Fill the jar. Bring brine ingredients to a boil and pour over pickles and seal. For sweeter pickles use 2 1/2 cups sugar.
