1 whole orange
1/2 cup sour milk, or buttermilk
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teas baking powder
1/2 teas baking soda
1/2 teas salt

Directions:
Directions:
Squeeze the orange.
Add the juice to the sour milk (or buttermilk).
Put peel and raisins through a food processor untl they are chopped into small pieces.
Set aside 2 tablespoons of this fruit and peel mixture for the icing.
Cream the butter, adding sugar gradually.
Add the eggs, beat well.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add alternately with milk and orange juice.
Fold in the orange/raisin mixture.
Turn into a 9x9 greased pan.
Bake in a 350 F oven.
When cool, frost with butter icing to which the saved 2 tbsp. fruit mixture has been added.

If you don;t have sour milk , adding a little bit of vinegar to regular milk will sour it.
