2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 tbsp corn starch mixed with 1/3 cup cold water
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk in double boiler, add sugar, salt and corn starch/water mixture.
Stir continuously until mixture thickens; cover and cook over low heat for another 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour into a bowl or into 6 individual dishes.
Garnish with whipped cream, grated coconut, or both.
