1/2 cup butter (room temp)
3-3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp. whipping cream
1/8 tsp. peppermint extract
red food coloring.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter well; blend in powdered sugar gradually; mixing until smooth. Add cream and extract, blend well. Add small amount of red food coloring. Mix very slightly to have red streak. Spoon into cake decorator tube and using shaping tip, press shapes onto waxed paper. Let mints set up for 30 minutes. Store in airtight container in cool place.

Can drop onto waxed paper from small spoon if no decorator tube available. These can be made pink by stiring the food coloring more, and used for a baby or wedding shower.
