150 clams or 4lbs. chopped frozen clams
2 -3 bottles clam juice 1/2 lbs. salt pork chopped
2.5 - 3 lbs. onions chopped
2 - 3 cans tomatoes (28 ox. cans)
2 cans water
1 cup diced celery
4 med. bell peppers diced
1/2 tsp. thyme, oregano & marjoram
2 bay leaves
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 or more datil peppers, whole
6 Idaho potatoes (1/2 diced and 1/2 grated)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute salt pork, add onions, celery, bell pepper for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Cook 15 minutes. Cook diced potatoes in small amount of water, then add potatoes and water to above mixture. Add raw grated potatoes, clam juice and chopped clams. Simmer one hour and serve.

This is my Uncle Bill's recipe and when we were kids, he sent us out to Summer Haven to dig the clams for him and he made this great meal for everyone!
