1 1/2 lbs. shrimp
1/2 cup butter
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 green onion minced
4 tbsp. flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
Drop of lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. brandy
2 tbsp. butter

Shell shrimp. Drain and dry on paper towels. Cut shrimp in half or in fourths to make them bite size (optional).

In medium saucepan bring ½ cup butter, wine ½ tsp. salt, ⅛ tsp. pepper, and onion to simmer. Add shrimp, return to simmer. Cover, simmer slowly 5 mins. Remove shrimp with slotted spoon; set aside.

Boil pan liquids; reduce to just the butter. Add flour, cook, stirring for 3 mins. Stir in cream, milk, mushrooms (reserve some mushrooms for garnish), lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Over medium heat, cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Add brandy. Blend ⅔ of sauce with shrimp.

Grease individual dishes or casserole dish. Divide shrimp mixture into individual dishes or place in casserole dish. Cover with the rest of sauce. Dot with 2 tbsp. of butter.

Just before serving, saute reserved mushrooms in butter with salt and pepper. Place dishes in preheated 400º oven; heat about 10 mins or until sauce is bubbling. Garnish with sautéed mushrooms.
