zest of 2 lemons
CAKE:
2 tsp lemon juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. melted butter (cooled)
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 c. Cake Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking Powder

GLAZE:
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
bring to boil, and simmer 2 minutes until thick

Directions:

mix flour, salt and baking powder and set aside
mix sugar, lemon juice, zest, eggs, melted butter
gradually beat in dry mixture

place in well greased loaf pan (glass works best: try lining the bottom and sides of pan with parchment paper for easy removal)

bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes then decrease oven to 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until tooth pic comes out dry

let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan

pierce cake with tooth pic and brush on glaze

let stand for 30 minutes more then enjoy!©
