2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup Crisco
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tsp soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Sift together flour and sugar in bowl. Combine margarine, Crisco, cocoa and water in sauce pan, bring to rapid boil. Pour into flour mixture stirring well. Add buttermilk, eggs salt, soda , vanilla, and cinnamon. Mix well. Bake in greased and floured jellyroll pan at 400º for 20 minutes. 5 minutes before cake is done, start frosting. Melt together and bring to a boil: 1 stick margarine, 4 tbsp, cocoa, and 6 tbsp milk. Add 1 pound powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup chopped pecans. Poke holes in cake with a fork. Frost while hot.
