Ingredients:

½ lb sliced provolone
1 onion (sliced thin)
1 loaf french bread
4 T butter
2 packets Au Jus mix
6 C water

Directions:
Saute onions with a little oil or butter in a large sauce pan. Slice Roast Beef into strips and add to the onions to heat/cook slightly. In a large sauce pan follow directions for making Au Jus gravy. When Gravy is done add meat and onions allowing to simmer for 10-15 minutes. On a baking sheet slice bread in half and butter both sides. Place in oven under broil until lightly browned. Remove and layer on cheese. Place back in oven for cheese to melt. Strain the meat from the juice (strain over pan used earlier for the meat so that you can keep the juice for dipping). Place meat over one side of cheesy bread and cover with other side. Slice into 2” sandwiches. Ladle juice into bowls for dipping.
