1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, eggs and sugar.
2. Add dry ingredients, putting seasoning in first before flour.
3. Mix well
4. Roll into balls and then roll in following mixture:
2 Tbsp sugar + 3 Tbsp cinnamon

5. Bake in 350º oven for 8-10 minutes

I use butter flavored shortening.
I cook them only 8 minutes, we like them soft.
They are addictive!

Keep leftover sugar & cinnamon mixture to sprinkle on peanut butter toast! BONUS!!
