2 c. sugar, 1 12 oz. box vanilla wafers (crushed), 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 can angel flake coconut, 2 sticks margarine, 6 eggs, and 2 c. pecans.
Glaze: 1/4 tsp. soda, 1/4 c. buttermilk, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. cornstarch, 1/4 c. margarine, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract.

Cake: Cream sugar and margarine add crushed vanilla wafers. Add one egg at a time beat well. Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake in a greased tube pan. Bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hour.
Glaze: Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan bring to a boil and remove from heat. Cool slightly and stir in vanilla extract then pour over cake.
