8 c. shredded cabbage
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. vinegar
1 c. heavy cream, whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Chill cabbage for several hours in refrigerator. Mix sugar, salt and vinegar together. Add liquid mix to cabbage. You can chill the cabbage some more at this point or whip the cream, fold into the cabbage and serve. Serves 8 to 10.

I sometimes heat the vinegar mixture to dissolve sugar and then cool before adding to cabbage.
