1 - 9" unbaked pie shell
7 c. apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Topping:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Pare, core and quarter apples. Place in a bowl with lemon juice and 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour and spices. Mix well and spoon into pie shell. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of apples. Slide pie pan into a turkey baking bag, loosely tying the bag closed. Bake at 375ºF for 45-60 min. Tear bag open and cool on rack.

Mom used to make this using a brown paper bag. Times have changed and paper bags are harder to come by and are made of a lot of recycled material that isn't safe to put in the oven. The turkey cooking bags are a pretty good substitute. You could probably make a little tent with aluminum foil, too.
