12 Tbsp. butter, softened
2/3 c sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c flour

Filling
4 c apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
8oz cream cheese, softened
2/3 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp.salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Lightly grease 10-12" springform pan. With electric mixer beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in flour until soft dough forms. Pat dough lightly onto bottom of pan and 1 1/4inches up the sides. Bake 8-10 minutes (lightly browned). Reduce heat to 400º when crust removed.

While crust is baking, prepare apples. Place apples in shallow pan, cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes at 400º. Beat cream cheese and 1/3c sugar together. Beat in egg, vanilla, and salt, until smooth. Spoon onto crust. Arrange apple slices on top of filling. Combine 1/3c sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle on top. Bake 35-40 minutes until crust browns and apples are soft. Cool completely and store in refrigerator before serving.
