1 1/2 C Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 C Lard, Butter or Shortening
2 Eggs Well Beaten (use Large)
2 C Syrup or Honey or one cup each
1 tsp Soda
1 C Sour Cream
1 tsp Cloves
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ginger
1 Tblsp Black Pepper
1 Slightly Tblsp Annis oil ( but if use Annis Seed 1/2 Tblsp)
1Tblsp of Cardamon
7 to 8 C of Flour (or more until you have a real stiff dough)

Directions:

Blend together well sugar, salt, lard.
Add beaten eggs, syrup or honey, or one each which you chosed mix well. Add Soda Sour Cream Mix well Then Add the rest except flour and mix well.
Add Flour last and mix in cup at a time until dough is stiff and every thing is incorporated together.

Put in air tight container and chill over night. Will last up to a 1 week if fridge.

Take a small piece or ball size. Roll out snake like till about size if finger and slice in 1/2 in bits.
Put on Cookie Sheet Lightly press with thumb. and Bake at 350 Degrees to 375 until Lightly brown
