1/2 c. water
2 c. milk (scalded)
1 cardamon (smashed)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oleo
2 t. salt
4 eggs
8 1/2 c. flour

Beat egg. Add milk, sugar, cardamon and salt. Then add flour to mix and shortening.
