1 1/2 c. powdered milk
3 t. salt
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. crisco
2 c. rye flour
white flour
1 1/2 T. active dry yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Put 1 1/2 c. powdered milk in bowl and add warm water to make 1 qt. Add salt, molasses, brown sugar, melted crisco and mix. Add rye flour and enough white flour to make batter then add yeast and more white flour. Knead 10 minutes. Put in greased bowl with lid and let rise until doubled (1 hour). Take out and shape into loaves. Grease bread pans and put loaves in pans. Poke loaves with fork and then let rise 20 - 30 minutes. Bake 350º 25 minutes. Top with crisco and remove from pans to cool.
